Abstract
A series of crystalline PdII-based heterodimetallic acetate-bridged complexes containing the transition (MnII, CoII, NiII, CuII), post-transition (ZnII) and rare-earth (CeIV, NdIII, EuIII) metals were synthesized starting from Pd3(OOCMe)6 and the complementary metal(II, III) acetates. The crystal and molecular structures of the binuclear PdIIMII(μ-OOCMe)4L (M = Mn, Co, Ni, Zn; L = H2O, MeCN), trinuclear Pd 2 II Cu II ( μ - OOCMe ) 6 and tetranuclear Pd 2 II M 2 III ( μ , η 2 - OOCMe ) 2 ( μ - OOCMe ) 8 ( THF ) 2 (M = Nd, Eu) and Pd 2 II Ce 2 IV ( μ , η 2 - OOCMe ) 2 ( η 1 - OOCMe ) 2 ( μ - OOCMe ) 8 ( H 2 O ) 2 complexes were established by X-ray diffraction.
