Abstract
Due to high polarizability of iodonium cation (I+), aliphatic iodination reactions are unknown under solvent-free mechanochemical condition. The synthesis of oxazolines is presented from N-allylbenzamides through mechanochemical cascaded C−O cross-coupling and halogenation using N-iodo- and N-bromosuccinimides, respectively, as bifunctional reagents.
