Abstract
Gegenüber den konventionellen Lichtbogenverfahren zur Acetylen-Erzeugung aus Kohlenwasserstoffen unterscheidet sich der neue Plasma-Lichtbogenofen darin, daß der Bogen in einem Wasserstoff-Plasma brennt. Der besondere Vorteil des Plasma-Ofens ist, daß sich in ihm sowohl gasförmige als auch flüssige Kohlenwasserstoffe cracken lassen und daß sich durch Einstellen der Temperatur das Ausbeute-Verhältnis Acetylen zu Äthylen im Crackgas in gewissen Grenzen variieren läßt.
