Abstract
Flexible yet sterically demanding, hemilabile P,N ligands can enable versatile coordination geometries as shown through reactions of bis(quinoline-2-ylmethyl)phenylphosphine with selected CuI, AgI and AuI species. Among other interesting X-ray crystal structures, a rarely observed Cu4Cl3 cluster with short Cu⋅⋅⋅Cu distances is presented.
