Abstract
The high resolution image, published by Iijima and Anstis of a ternary W-Nb oxyde offers an excellent opportunity to compare the cluster model for the “transition” state, proposed by the authors, to the actual ordering state derived directly from the interpretation of the electron microscope image. Direct evidence for the validity of the cluster theory for the considered ordering system is found. The optical simulation technique is proved to be useful to support the theoretical results. Das von Iijima and Anstis publizierte hochaufgeloste Diagramm eines ternaren W-Nb-Oxids ergibt eine ausgezeichnete Moglichkeit, das von den Autoren vorgeschlagene Clustermodell fur den „Ubergangs” zustand mit dem tatsachlichen Ordnungszustand zu vergleichen, der direkt aus der Interpretation des Elektronenmikroskopbildes abgeleitet wird. Es wird ein direkter Hinweis fur die Gultigkeit der Clustertheorie fur das untersuchte Ordnungssystem gefunden. Es wird gefunden, das die optische Simulationstechnik fur die Bestatigung der theoretischen Ergebnisse nutzlich ist.
