General Chemistry
Abstract
Bis-1,2,3-triazoles were synthesized by CuAAC click chemistry in 84–96 % yield. DNA cleavage, antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal activities of the products were screened and molecular docking study was performed. The compounds showed excellent DNA cleavage activity while showing a valuable iron chelating activity and a moderate ability to scavenge the DPPH radical was also observed. The compounds exhibited antimicrobial activity with a MIC value in the range of 4–128 μg/mL. Four different pKa values of each product were determined in 20 % (v/v) DMSO-water at 25±0.1 °C.
