Abstract
The reliability of the tethered unmanned high-altitude platform as a single complex system is investigated in this paper. The reliability block diagram of the platform has been developed. It consists of the main subsystems and its elements connected in series. The method of calculating the reliability metrics of the tethered unmanned high-altitude platform such as the reliability function, and the mean time to failure is presented. Reliability metrics of communication system elements are calculated. The approach for calculation of tethered unmanned platform service life is presented.
