Abstract
This paper proposes a generalized modus ponens and a generalized modus tollens based on the $$\varphi $$ -index of inclusion. Moreover, we analyze the properties of generalized modus ponens and generalized modus tollens according to the axioms proposed by Baldwin and Pilsworth.
