Abstract
The results of investigations of experimental charge masses for obtaining mineral fibers based on a andesitic-basalt-slag-dolomite composition and the results of testing of their physicochemical properties are reported. Tests of the chemical resistance of optimal compositions under aggressive conditions showed that the chemical resistance of the fibers depends on the content of metal oxides in the glass and their ratio, taking into account the mutual influence of SiO2, Al2O3, Fe2O3, CaO, MgO, Na2O, and K2O. It was found that the studied andesitic basalt of the Karakhtai deposit is a promising raw material component for the production of mineral fibers.
