Abstract
An operationally simple and highly efficient one-pot multi-component domino cyclization for the preparation of benzo[d]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole derivatives from 2-amine-benzo[d]thiazoles, 2-oxoaldehyde and cyclic 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds under microwave irradiation has been developed in this work. Formation of the benzo[d]imidazo[2,1-b]thiazole skeleton and its functionalization can proceed smoothly, avoiding the usage of metal catalyst. Furthermore, the procedure provides few intermediates, low energy consumption and simple purification operation.
