Abstract
This chapter reviews the discovery and current status of high-entropy alloy (HEA) superconductors. The categorization of HEA superconductors involves bifurcation into two distinct classes based on their crystallographic features. The first class comprises alloy systems represented by body-centered cubic and hexagonal close-packed structures, while the second class pertains to compound types. Within each of these classes, we expound upon the exotic properties, applications, and materials designMaterials design in alignment with the themes of this book. Furthermore, we elucidate the interrelationships between the subjects addressed in this chapter and those expounded upon in the subsequent ten chapters.
