Abstract
The Russian Far East belongs to the Pacific drainage basin. It consists of Primorye ProvincePrimorye, region and province, the Amur River basin within the borders of modern Russia, Sakhalin IslandSakhalin Island, the Kurile IslandsKurile Islands, the northern coast of the Sea of OkhotskSea of Okhotsk, and Kamchatka Peninsula. Geographical and palaeoenvironmental data on the Russian Far East.
