Abstract
Natriuretische Peptide müssen gerade in der Intensivmedizin in ihrem klinischen Kontext interpretiert werden. In dieser Übersicht wird die diagnostische, prognostische und therapeutische Bedeutung von BNP und NT-proBNP bei Patienten mit kardialer Dysfunktion, Nierenversagen, Sepsis, Lungenembolie, ARDS, AECOPD und im Weaning vom Respirator dargestellt.
