Abstract
Novel water-soluble nanocomposites containing 1–26 nm silver nanoparticles stabilized with poly(1-vinyl-1,2,4-triazole) were prepared. They possess plasmon absorption with the maxima at 412 and 415 nm and exhibit the antimicrobial activity against Gram-negative reference and nosocomial strains, oxacillin/methicillin-susceptible staphylococci, micrococci, and streptococci, as well as fungi.
