General Chemistry
Abstract
The works on the synthesis of polymers based on N-vinylamides and find use in medicine and biotechnology are reviewed. Methods for the synthesis of new functionalized monomers and related polymers are presented. The influence of the molecular structure and conformation on the properties of poly-N-vinylamides is considered. The intrinsic biological activity of polymers based on N-vinylamides is evaluated. The methods for their modification by biologically active compounds to produce highly efficient drugs are described.
