Abstract
The reaction of 1,5-dimethyibispidin-9-one with acetone, acting as both a solvent and a reagent, affords 2,2,5,7-tetramethyl-1,3-diazaadamantan-6-one. The structure of the monohydrate of the target compound, which is a hydrogen-bonded supramolecular polymer, was determined by X-ray diffraction analysis.
