Abstract
The preparation of a sensitive electrochemical biosensor for lactate determination, devoid of lactate enzyme, is achieved through the integration of cobalt nitride and reduced graphene oxide nanosheets. The sensing platform comprises porous cobalt nitride with lactate oxidase mimic activity for efficient lactate oxidation. The incorporation of reduced graphene oxide nanosheets with a large surface area and high electron-transfer rate enhances the response current. The electrochemical biosensor exhibits good sensing performance for lactate in a neutral solution, which has a linear detection range of 1–80 mM with a detection limit of 0.51 mM via differential pulse voltammetry (DPV) measurement. Notably, the sensing platform also shows good stability and selectivity and was successfully applied to determine lactate in human serum samples.
