Abstract
The chair-chair, boat-chair, and boat-boat conformers of bicyclo[3.3.1]nonane and the exo-endo disposition of N-methyl groups in its 3,7-diaza derivatives were studied using the AM1 method. All the geometric parameters (bond lengths, bond angles and torsional angles) were optimized and the nature of the bicyclic structures compared.
