Abstract
The allyl group is shown to be orthogonal to the most commonly used phosphate protecting groups. In some cases, the allyl and allyloxycarbonyl groups may be selectively cleaved, under palladium-catalysis, in the presence of the propargyl and propargyloxycarbonyl groups.
