Multiomics in respiratory disorders

The burden of respiratory disorders on global public health is substantial. Despite advancements in treatment options, the underlying mechanisms and precise molecular pathways involved in respiratory diseases remain poorly understood. Multiomics technologies have proven to be one of the best to understand the underlying mechanism and changes associated with certain respiratory diseases which is an initial step for discovering new drugs and therapeutic approaches. The respiratory microbiota has been recognized as a key modulator for maintaining respiratory health. This gives rise to a new approach in the science of therapeutics, i.e., microbiota-based Therapeutics. By incorporating multiomics in microbiota-based therapeutic approaches, we develop personalized interventions for patients suffering from various respiratory diseases.
