Recent advances in 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidine chemistry

Abstract
The review deals with the pharmaceutically and agrochemically important group of 1,2,4-triazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines (TPs) and covers relevant literature published from about 2006 through 2018. The synthetic section describes the formation of TPs from both aminotriazoles and pyrimidine derivatives by anellation of a second heterocyclic ring. In the structure-related section NMR spectra are stressed. Carbon–carbon coupling reactions and nucleophilic substitutions of functional groups provide the main focus of the reactivity-based section. Finally, progress in application is described.
