Cesium molybdate, Cs2MoO4: Heat capacity and thermodynamic properties from 5 to 350 K

Abstract
The heat capacity of a highly purified sample of crystalline Cs2MoO4 was determined in the temperature range 5 to 350 K by aneroid adiabatic calorimetry. At 298.15 K the heat capacity at constant pressure Cpo(298.15 K), the entropy So(298.15 K), the enthalpy {Ho(298.15 K) − Ho(0)}, and the function {G o (298.15 K ) − H o (0)} 298.15 K were found to be (148.67 ± 0.15) J K−1mol−1, (248.35 ± 0.25) J K−1mol−1, (31631 ± 32) J mol−1, and −(142.26 ± 0.14) J K−1mol−1, respectively. The standard Gibbs energy of formation ΔGfo(Cs2MoO4, c, 298.15 K) obtained from experimental results is −(1407.1 ± 0.5) kJ mol−1.
