Abstract
2-Silatranyl-2-bromoethanols, N(CH2CHRO)3SiCH(Br)CH2OH (R = H, Me), have been obtained by bromohydroxylation of silatranylethylenes, which react with triethylmethoxystannane to give 2-silatranyl-acetaldehydes, N(CH2CHRO)3SiCH2CHO, in high yields.
