Abstract
Higher yields and higher reaction rates, as well as more selective metallation in the side chain of alkylbenzenes are achieved by Superbases from alkyllithium compounds and potassium alkoxides which contain an enhanced of an alkoxide with a structure more bulky than that of tert-butoxide.
