Abstract
Energy is critical for modern technology, and its consumption is growing rapidly. Alternative energy becomes its essential component, the development of which is impossible without energy storage devices. The most promising among them are batteries, fuel cells, and supercapacitors. The use of nanomaterials will ensure dynamic development of these devices, in particular, will increase their specific capacity, power, reliability, and stability. This chapter describes the use of nanomaterials for these devices, including cathode and anode materials, electrolytes and electrocatalysts.
