Abstract
Addition reaction between di-t-butylzinc and a conjugated E - or Z -enyne in refluxing tetrahydrofuran, is a regioselective but not a stereoselective reaction: for the resulting conjugated diene, the formation of four stereoisomers ZE , EZ , ZZ and EE , or of two or three isomers only is observed. This fact can be explained by the establishment of equilibria between several α-unsaturated organozinc compounds which appear as intermediates.
