Abstract
The review deals with the pharmaceutically interesting groups of 1,2,4-triazolo[5,1-b]- and -[1,5-a]quinazolines (TQs) and related systems hydrogenated in the carbo- and/or heterocyclic moieties. The synthetic section stresses the formation of TQs from both triazoles and quinazolines by anellation of additional rings. In the structure-related section a diversity of spectroscopic data is available. The reactivity-based section deals especially with substitutions at ring atoms and with substitutions of functional groups at the rings. Among applications, pharmaceutical use is the main focus of research.
