Abstract
Cage-like ZnO/Mn3O4 hollow spheres are synthesized via a solvothermal method. Compared with ZnO solid particles, cage-like ZnO/Mn3O4 hollow spheres showed higher surface area, higher capacity and enhanced rate performance. The reversible capacity of cage-like ZnO/Mn3O4 hollow spheres is 1091 mA h g−1 after 100 cycles at 200 mA g−1 and 1318 mA h g−1 after 300 cycles at 400 mA g−1. The unique cage-like hollow structure contributes to the excellent reversible capacity.
