General Chemistry
Abstract
A dithienylethene-containing fullerocyclopropane was synthesized by the catalytic reaction of the carbon cluster with diazoalkane generated in situ by the oxidation of a corresponding photochrome hydrazone with MnO2 in the presence of the Pd(acac)2–2PPh3–4Et3Al catalyst, and the photochromic properties of the synthesized methanofullerene were evaluated.
