Abstract
The reaction between 1,2-dienes and 1,3,5-cycloheptatriene in the presence of the two-component catalyst, TiCl4–Et2AlCl leads to the regioselective formation of endo-bicyclo[4.2.1]nona-2,4-diene derivatives in yields of up to 80%. 2011 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
