Abstract
Abstract A simple and highly efficient new approach for the synthesis of 4-aryl-2-oxo-2H-chromene-3-carbonitriles based on the oxidation and hydrolysis of 2-amino-4-aryl-4H-chromene-3-carbonitriles is described.
