Abstract
A selenium-mediated decarboxylative cyclization of 2-chloronitrobenzene and arylacetic acids to prepare 2-arylbenzoselenazoles has been established under metal-free condition. The reactions proceeded in moderate to good yields with good functional tolerance and gram-scale application.
