Abstract
A scheme for the synthesis of 15-dehydro-prostaglandin E1 involving only a few steps and using only 1 chromatographic separation is reported. Structural analyses and descriptions of all key intermediates are provided. This approach can be adapted for the large-scale preparation of 15-dehydro prostaglandin E1.
