Abstract
We report here that a pressed mixture of tetrazole and sodium tetrazolate can burn, both in an inert atmosphere and in the air, forming an incandescent liquid spheroidal reaction zone of definite size. This and other features of the reaction zone lead to its description as a liquid flame, in which peculiar chemical processes can occur.
