Correction to: Hypertension Research advance online publication, 16 July 2015; doi:10.1038/hr.2015.81 Since the publication of this paper, the publisher have noticed an error in Figure 3. It had been published as color instead of mono by mistake. This has been rectified and the corrected article appears in the issue together with this erratum.
