Abstract
The first well defined cationic terminal hydrido rare earth complexes [(NCN)LnH(THF)(3)][BPh(4)] were isolated from THF, which on recrystallization from chlorobenzene gave reversibly the novel dicationic binuclear dihydride complexes [(NCN)Ln(μ-H)(THF)(2)](2)[BPh(4)](2).
