Abstract
The paper deals with the estimation of elastic modulus based on the digital image correlation (DIC) displacement fields. The proposed technique has been implemented in situ during the fatigue tests of hybrid composites combining carbon fiber fabric and dispersive micro/nanofillers reinforcements (hybrid composites). It has been shown the principals of elastic modulus assessment using stereoimages for 3D DIC synchronized with the loading process. The results demonstrate the fatigue behavior of hybrid composites under cyclic tensile loading and the degradation of their properties on the measurement of the stiffness.
