Abstract
Abstract The microstructure, density, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the soft PZT-based ceramics sintered by conventional ceramic technology (CCT), hot pressing (HP), and spark plasma sintering (SPS) were studied. For SPS method, the holding time of the sample at the fixed sintering temperature (970 °C) was optimized. It was found that despite their highest density the ceramics sintered by SPS method were characterized by lower dielectric and piezoelectric parameters compared to other sintering technologies used. Possible reasons for the influence of technological factors on macroscopic responses are discussed.
