Abstract
Aromatic aldehydes undergo cross-aldol condensation with ketones in the presence of KF-Al2O3 under microwave irradiation in solvent-free conditions to afford the corresponding α,α′-bis(benzylidene) alkanones in high yields. *IICT Communication No. 4420.
