Determination of Rating and Optimal Position of Distributed Generation

Here, in this work, firstly, the rating of a PV plant as a Distributed Generation has been determined based on the law of conservation of energy. Secondly, a method for optimal placement of the plant is proposed based on intelligent optimization technique namely particle swarm optimization (PSO). The searching of Equivalent Load Centre in the distribution system is considered to be the objective function for obtaining the optimal location of this DG. The proposed methods have been applied to IEEE 34 Nodes Feeder System.
