Abstract
In this research article, we proposed a single layer ultra-wide band linear polarization converting metasurface (PCMS). The proposed PCMS converts x-polarized incident electromagnetic (EM) wave to y-polarized in the frequency range of 12 GHz to 35 GHz band. The proposed design is highly efficient and achieved a fractional bandwidth (FBW) of 98% with more than 90% polarization conversion ratio (PCR) in the desire operating band. The PCMS covers the Ku, K, and Ka bands of satellite communications. The wideband and high efficiency of the PCMS make it useful for a wide range of applications such as satellite communication, antennas, and RCS reduction.
