Statistically Average Configuration of 0.38 kV Rural Electric Network

Publication typeProceedings Article
Publication date2023-11-08
Abstract
The article presents an analysis of statistical data on the characteristics of the electrical networks of the Orel power distribution zones. Based on the analysis the statistically average configuration of 0.38 kV rural electrical network was determined. It was revealed that the power of the statistically average transformer installed in the statistically average 10/0.4 kV transformer substation is 160 kV. The number of power lines connected to this transformer substation is 2 pcs. with an average length of 0.922 km each. The average number of consumers connected to one power line is 14 pcs. or 28 pcs. on the power substation. The configuration of the statistically average rural electrical network of 0.38 kV allows determining the structure of automation systems and systems for monitoring the power system elements’ state, determining the technology of data transmission between their components as well as evaluating the effectiveness of their implementation including a feasibility study.
