Abstract
We presents the luminescence and absorption measurements of a 50 at.% Er 3+ :YAG ceramics, pure and doped by Sc, synthesized at different conditions. The results show that YAG ceramics without Sc have optical properties close to Er 3+ :YAG single crystal.
