Spectroscopy of Nd doped yttrium scandate crystal fiber

Abstract
We present the results of fluorescence and fluorescence excitation measurements of a 0.1%Nd 3+ :YScO 3 crystal fiber. The results show two complex local positions of Nd 3+ in the bixbyite-type crystal structure with lifetimes τ 1 = 290 and τ 2 = 250 μs ( 4 F 3/2 manifold) at temperature T = 77 K.
