Luminescent properties of Er/Lu-codoped transparent lead fluoroborate glass-ceramics

Abstract
Lead fluoroborate glasses codoped with Er3+ /Lu3+ - have been synthesized. Glass-ceramics have been made by heat-treatment. In a glass-ceramic the rare-earth ions were located in fluoride crystal nanoparticles distributed in a glass. The changes in structural, mechanical, optical and luminescent properties of the glass-ceramics were revealed in comparison with the initial glasses.
