Abstract
This paper is devoted to the problem of using traditional cryptographic algorithms on low-resource ATmega328P microcontrollers. The performance of microcontrollers was assessed during working with cryptographic algorithms and hash functions. Based on received results, recommendations have been developed for the developing of secure data transmission systems for industrial heterogeneous networks that combine devices with limited computing capabilities.
