Techno-Economic Analyses for Assessing Renewable Energy Integration Aspects in Rural Areas of South Asia

This paper presents a comprehensive techno-economic analysis of hybrid renewable energy systems tailored for the specific contexts of San Kan, Myanmar, and Ratai Purwa, India. The focus is on integrating multiple renewable energy sources, optimizing system configurations, and assessing the economic viability to provide sustainable and reliable energy solutions for these regions. The analysis considers solar and wind energy resources and storage technologies to design efficient hybrid systems that meet the energy demand while minimizing costs (LCOE for San-Kan is $0.056 and for Ratai-Purwa is $0.061) and environmental impacts (Renewable Fraction of 98.2% for Ratai Purwa and 97% for San-Kan). The results emphasize the potential of hybrid renewable systems in contributing to energy sustainability and supporting socio-economic development in both regions.
