The study and search for unique, eco-friendly, and effective pharmacologically active substances remains a priority in the field of pharmaceuticals. Benzimidazole, a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound, is part of many biologically active substances. Currently, medications containing a benzimidazole core are widely used in medical practice. These include omeprazole, albendazole, astemizole, afobazole, and others. The increasing resistance of microorganisms to drugs creates an urgent need to develop and study new, original compounds. Research into the derivatives of benzimidazoles has led to methods for synthesizing benzimidazole carboxylic acids. These compounds are essential for the development of previously unstudied benzimidazole derivatives with significant biological activity.
