Composite materials with ion-conductivity based on solid electrolytes and ion-exchange membranes attracted great interest of researchers and are considered as promising materials for various electrochemical devices. The mane laws of ion transport in such systems are discussed in this review. The most important factor contributing to the improvement of ionic conductivity of solid electrolytes is a defect formation on the interface. In the case of hybrid ion-exchange membranes the most important factor is the change in the pores and channels structure. The application of these materials in fuel cells is discussed also, which became the most important task in recent years.
