Abstract
A new approach to dechlorination of “dioxin-like” ecotoxicants, polychlorinated biphenyls, based on carbonylation, was suggested. The weakly reactive aryl halides are activated by effective catalytic systems based on epoxide-modified cobalt carbonyl in alcoholic alkali solutions.
